Swine Flu Vaccine

Starting Monday December 14th, H1N1 vaccine will be available to the general public.  Call your regular healthcare provider to see if they are offering H1N1 vaccine.  If you cannot access H1N1 vaccine through your regular provider, click on the link below for a list of locations offering H1N1 vaccine to non-established patients.

• FIND AN H1N1 VACCINE SITE

  The Yakima Health District strongly encourages people who fall into the high risk target groups outlined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to receive their H1N1 vaccine.  Those groups are:

  • Pregnant women
  • Healthcare workers and emergency service workers
  • Household contacts and caregivers of children less than 6 months old
  • Anyone between the ages of 6 months and 24 years old
  • Anyone between the ages of 25 and 64 years old who have a chronic health condition

• There are two forms of H1N1 vaccine:
  • Flu-Mist like format--Available for anyone between 2 and 49 years old who are not immune-compromised or pregnant.
  • Injectable format—Available for anyone above 6 months of age.
