What happens
if I am diagnosed with cancer by the Breast and Cervical Health
Program?
If you
are diagnosed with breast or cervical cancer, you can be transitioned
from BCHP to medical coupons under certain conditions. The
Medicaid coverage will last for the duration of cancer treatment.
This is full-scope coverage. Those conditions for transition
are:
o Breast
and/or cervical cancer was screened for and/or diagnosed
through BCHP;
o The diagnosis requires treatment;
o You are under age 65;
o You have no insurance;
o You can meet other basic Medicaid eligibility criteria
(If you meet BCHP eligibility criteria it is likely that
you will meet all the other basic Medicaid eligibility criteria.)
